Mattress Cleaning in Epping from $50

Mattress Cleaning Epping

“Epping is one of Melbourne’s most established outer northern suburbs, sitting about 25km from the CBD in the City of Whittlesea, and has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past two decades. What was once a quiet semi-rural town on Melbourne’s fringe is now a bustling, densely populated suburb with a diverse community, a major shopping centre, and a hospital precinct that draws workers and families from across the northern corridor. The housing mix reflects that evolution — older weatherboard and brick homes from the 1970s and 80s sit alongside newer townhouses and estate developments, and it’s the older properties in particular where mattresses and soft furnishings tend to quietly accumulate years of dust mites, allergens and wear. With such a large and diverse population including many families with young children and elderly residents, indoor air quality and sleep hygiene matter more than most people give them credit for. Steve services Epping and nearby South Morang, Thomastown and Wollert, and can usually get to you within a few days of booking.”

Mattress Cleaning Epping: Enhancing Your Sleep and Promoting Optimal Health

When it comes to maintaining a clean and healthy home, we often overlook one crucial aspect – our mattresses. Mattresses play a significant role in our lives, providing us with the peaceful and restorative sleep we need to function optimally. However, over time, mattresses can accumulate dirt, dust, allergens, and even bacteria. That’s why mattress cleaning in Epping should be at the top of your cleaning priority list. Let’s explore the importance of mattress cleaning and the benefits it can bring to your health and overall well-being.

The Hidden Threats Lurking in Your Mattress

Did you know that an average person spends approximately one third of their life in bed? During this time, our bodies shed dead skin cells, and sweat, forming a breeding ground for dust mites. Dust mites are tiny arachnids that thrive in warm, moist environments and feed on dead skin cells. These microscopic creatures can lead to various allergic reactions and respiratory problems, especially for those with pre existing conditions such as asthma or allergies.

Moreover, mattresses can also harbour other allergens such as pet dander, pollen, and fungal spores, further exacerbating respiratory issues. Furthermore, if not cleaned regularly, mattresses can become a haven for bacteria and even bed bugs, posing significant health risks.

Thorough cleaning processes, including vacuuming, steam sanitisation, and allergen removal treatments, can eliminate dust mites, pet dander.

2. Improved Sleep Quality: A clean and fresh mattress can significantly improve your overall sleep quality. Removing dirt, dust, and odours can create a more inviting sleep environment, promoting relaxation and ensuring a better night’s sleep.

3. Prolonged Mattress Lifespan: Regular cleaning can help extend the lifespan of your mattress. Over time, dirt and dust can accumulate within the mattress fibres, causing them to deteriorate and lose their supportiveness. By keeping your mattress clean, you can prevent premature wear and tear.

4. Health and Well-being: A clean mattress means a healthier sleeping environment, which in turn contributes to your overall health and well-being. By reducing allergens, bacteria, and other potential health hazards, you can effectively minimise the risk of respiratory problems.

FAQ’s

How much does mattress cleaning cost in Melbourne?

My stock price for cleaning any size mattress in any condition within Melbourne is $150. My prices per mattress drop significantly if additional mattresses can be cleaned at the same address on the same day (my price for a full clean on multiple mattresses is $50 each). That being said, my base price can also vary depending on your location and urgency.

How often should I clean my mattress?

If you or your family have dust mite allergies or suffer from eczema I would suggest schedulling in a dust mite sanitation for every 6 months. If bed wetting is a problem or if there has been any vomiting or diarrhoea on your mattress I’d suggest an immediate appointment otherwise a mattress cleaning once every 12 months would be considered good house keeping.

Can you remove urine stains from my mattress?

I have 18 years of experience removing urine stains from mattresses and I can honestly say that I have never attempted a urine stain removal job without having some if not complete stain removal success on every single occasion.

Can you remove those yellow sweat stains from my mattress?

Sweat stains can be tough but If they can be gotten out my process, products and knowledge will remove them. The age of the stains and the fabric they are attached to play a major role, any stain that heats up and cools down hundreds of times can be hard to totally reverse.

Can you remove blood stains from my mattress?

When it comes to blood stains on a mattress time is critical. To totally remove a blood from a mattress action is required within 48 hours. If I cannot come to you within this period it is best to pre soak the stained area by lightly padding the affected area with warm salty water.

How do you treat mould on a mattress?

Hydrogen peroxide, steam and extraction will remove all the mould spores and reduce or totally remove any stain that was caused by the mould.

Can mattress cleaning help reduce the severity of my allergies and asthma?

Absolutley! By eliminating the food source of the dust mite (your dead skin scales) the battle is half won. The dust mite sanitiser that I spray down after a mattress clean then repels any attempt of dust mites returning for up to 6 months.

What suburbs in Melbourne do you service?

I service all Melbourne suburbs and beyond. If your particular job isn’t an emergency I usually try and offer you a date and time where I’m already in your general area.

How long will it be before I can use my bed again after mattress cleaning?

Prior to mattress cleaning be sure that your drying conditions are adequate. If you have ventilation from an air conditioner, pedestal fan or a ceiling fan and you have an A.M appointment you will more than likely be back on your mattress again that night. If conditions are less than perfect your mattress will probably take a bit longer to dry. A double sided mattress may take longer to dry. A double sided mattress should also be left to dry on its side and occasionally rotated to insure that it dries evenly. Heavily soiled mattresses may also take longer to dry.

How long will my mattress stay dust mite free after sanitising?

The sanitising products and extraction service that I provide will ensure that your mattress is dust mite free for up to six months, the dust mite spray that I use has been tested and approved to stop any reinfestation of dust mites for this period.

My child just wet the bed… what do I do?

Padding the area until most of the liquid is important, use a white towel and press gently around the area until no more moisture can be soaked up. Apply a generous amount of baking soda to the affected area. At this point you can place a towel over the area, re make the bed and go back to sleep. Vacuum up the bi carb of soda the next day. You can repeat this bi carb/vacuum treat as often as you like, bi carbonate soda is simply the best way to absorb as much moisture as possible. Calling me within the next few days to professionally clean and sanitise your mattress would be your next best course of action.

Do you clean all types of mattresses including memory foam?

Yes I do. The processes and products that I can use may differ a little depending on some of the fabrics and fillings but they are all cleanable in one way or another.

Is mattress cleaning really worth it?

That all depends on your own personal hygiene. Is washing your sheets, pillow covers and pyjamas worth it? If breathing, sneezing, coughing or itchiness becomes a problem at bedtime I’d suggest that its probably time to have all those allergens removed from your sleeping area.

What’s the difference between your method of carpet cleaning and carpet steam cleaning?

The stain and sterilisation properties of my carpet cleaning system (Encapsulation Carpet Cleaning) is equal or in some cases better then carpet steam cleaning.
Steam cleaning or HWE (hot water extraction) is only as effective as the operator doing the cleaning. Most stains need to be pre treated for successful stain removal as hot water and shampoo can only do so much.
On most occasions I’d only suggest HWE for a carpet that has heavily soiled traffic areas. Encapsulation carpet cleaning is quick drying and more beneficial for allergy and asthma sufferers.
